Organisations have invested millions in IT, hardware, software and services over recent years, yet the questions are still being asked “Has the business benefited or suffered as a result of the costs involved?” Those responsible for IT now have to relate the value in terms of the business goals and objectives. How do you interface with the business processes? How can we get the most out of the investment to increase revenues and profits? SMCG was founded to provide the advice and guidance necessary for the IT function to answer these questions and present the answers to the boardroom.
Understanding what you have is the first step along the road. Collating it with portfolio details to obtain the full picture of agreements, contracts, costs and services committed to, adds value. Then aligning those services and assets with the business services they support, by reviewing and enhancing the processes, enabling greater efficiencies though automation of the main business functions, supporting the key corporate asset – the employee.
